If you like animals -- or haven't lived under a rock for the past few decades -- chances are high that you've seen Disney's "The Lion King." Introducing a Western audience to an animated version of life on the African savanna, "The Lion King" helped to spark an entire generation's interest in the animals of the African continent.
"The Lion King" has seen sequels and television spin-offs since its blockbuster success, but this week, the franchise made a splash by releasing the first trailer for the much-anticipated remake.
The cast is star-studded with actors the likes of Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, John Oliver, Keegan-Michael Key, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, and James Earl Jones lending their voices to the much-beloved characters. It's directed by Jon Favreau, who directed the live-action version of "The Jungle Book" to big $$$ success. While many have referred to the film as "live-action," it is not: it relies heavily on green screens and new technology to create a very life-like animation.
